Hervé Gloaguen Appointed Strategic Advisor to the Inaugural CRO Chief Risk Officer Conference, Hong Kong in March 2027

The Inaugural CRO Chief Risk Officer Conference, taking place in Hong Kong in March 2027, is proud to announce the appointment of Hervé Gloaguen as Strategic Advisor.

This appointment brings one of the most experienced global voices in audit, compliance, and risk into the heart of the conference’s development. Hervé is the Founder and CEO of Paracas-Advisors GmbH, where he teaches and advises audit, compliance, risk, and control professionals. He brings more than 38 years of professional experience in insurance and financial services across global settings and has held senior positions spanning the three lines of defence.

For more than 12 years, Hervé served as Chief Audit Executive (CAE) of Allianz Group, one of the world’s largest insurers. In that role he managed up to 900 auditors operating in more than 40 countries. He also led the Group’s compliance function (CCO), which employs approximately 800 professionals. His operational leadership included five years as a member of the Board of Management of Allianz France (12,000 employees) and six years as co-CEO of Allianz Banque. He has served on the supervisory boards of several Allianz Group companies, including as Chairman of Allianz Africa, and sat on the Group’s ESG committee.

Beyond Allianz, Hervé serves on the Audit Committee of UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services) in Copenhagen and is a member of the Advisory Board of IESEG, a leading French business school. He holds a master’s degree from HEC Paris (Grande École) and is pursuing a Doctorate at Bocconi University in Milan. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA®) and a Certified Quality Assessor (cAQ). He teaches in English, Spanish, and French, and has lived and worked in France, Germany, Peru, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Hong Kong.
